The Programme
Same format. Different instrument.
The Drum Lab is built directly from the Production Lab's six-week, creative-authorship format — students make real decisions and finish the term able to explain them, not just perform them.
Groove first
Everything starts with feel and pulse. The metronome doesn’t lie — everything else is a choice.
Authorship, not imitation
Students make and own decisions about their playing rather than copying a part exactly as shown.
Create, reflect, refine, create again
The same cycle that runs through every Kynda programme — drums are the instrument, not a different method.
A finished voice, not just technique
The goal is a drummer who can say why they played something, not just that they can play it.
